Plug in and play (by yourself)

I look up and she's there, almost as if summoned by me.
I look down, away from those gorgeous eyes, as If I had not seen her.
I look up, she's looking at me, she looks away as quicky as I did, yet still, toward me she proceeds.
I look away, again, as if preoccupied with something more important.
I bob my head to the music, shaking my nerves into quiet submission.
yet still closer she comes, unperturbed by my lax
she smiles and opens her mouth, I smile and pull my earphones out
'*lips moving* Seat *lips moving* booked *lips moving*you'
She sits, next to me, her smell blossoms in my nose
I pause before I put my earphones back in
perhaps she will say something
maybe I should say something
an eternity passes, we're perfect for each in this silence
I'm gonna talk, words WILL come out of my mouth
but wait, she moves, she clears her throat, she moves her hand
she plugs in the earphones, and slowly, as if waiting for me to stop her,
she puts them in her ears and presses play
she bobs her head but not up and down but rather, more appropriately Side to side
